Movie Night!
Tonight was movie night for CCC (October Sky rocks!). And I'm excited. I recently (finally) started Driver's Ed., and drove a little (microscopic) bit this morning. No one screamed, but my dad yelled a tad. He does that when he's nervous.
And this afternoon during a little off time from school, I was surfing YouTube. The sequence of movies went something like: Music videos; Phantom of the Opera clips; Day After Tomorrow clips; And a wacko saying "The World Will End in 2012, according to the Mayan Calendar, I Ching, Nasa, Einstein, and the Bible (?!)"
Now, it's quite possible the world as we know it will end in December 2012; God is certainly capable of that. But HERE is what the Bible says in Mark 13:32-37.
32"No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. 33Be on guard! Be alertf]">[f]! You do not know when that time will come. 34It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
35"Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back-whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. 36If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. 37What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' "
And now it's off for some late night no-bake cheesecake!
