I met Rob Riggle!
Oh man the New York trip was so great. Sergio and co and were so great to me I can't even express how happy and grateful I am! My first night he took me out to the most amazing places in TriBeCa and I didn't really feel classy enough for them because wow were they upscale. I loved where he lived in Brooklyn, too! Later in my stay we went to a place that gives you a free pizza with every beer you buy (and no the beers aren't expensive-- they're like 4 or 5 dollars) and an AMAZING metal bar with a life-sized cutout of Dimebag and other amazing paraphernalia. Hoo dang.
Also, I finally got to walk around Central Park which I haven't done yet despite all my trips there
And also got to the Natural History museum!
...where we touched giant heads
I know you all want to hear about the Daily Show, though! It was an amazing experience. The warm-up comedian was hilarious and we were lucky to land a really funny episode. You can actually hear me and Kitten laughing in the taping when Stewart made some Kant joke and we laughed too hard. So yeah John Stewart was so calm and nice and great at his job. He talked to the audience before he went on and was so funny on his feet! The whole experience was pretty surreal.
So at the end of the show they moved everyone out pretty quickly and we stood on the street corner outside trying to figure out what we wanted to do and stuff. Out comes Tony Oliver and we just got all awkward and giggly. He noticed and ran back to talk to us and was so sweet but a cab pulled over for him and he had to get in. Then Rob Riggle came by and instead of blowing that chance too, we got that picture! He was so warm and bear-like.
