The lash hit again, slicing deep into his skin, shredding his BDUs even further. He wondered if they were holding on solely by the blood that stuck to them, and then realized his mind was wandering yet again.
“Tell me!” the Jaffa demanded.
“I really don’t think so,” Daniel replied, words slurred through his swollen lips.
Another slice. Another flare of pain. “There’s no sarcophagus to save you,” the guard warned.
“He doesn’t need one,” Jack’s voice echoed through the room, followed by the percussion of his P90.
“We’ve got you,” Sam promised as Teal’c cut him down.
“I know.”
