Sad (Holmes/Watson. Oneshot)

Sad
Holmes and Watson were looking at each other. They had been standing up, in front of each other for about 5 minutes now, in silence. In Sherlock's eyes, one could see hurt, anger and sadness. In Watson's eyes, one could see hurt, sadness and confusion.
They had been talking about them, their relationship and about that if it was to go one step further, it would plunge into the illegality of their years. Both were afraid, but Holmes wouldn't give up. It wasn't his type. Watson stood there, listening and trying not to break down by the truth and by seeing Holmes like this.
An eerie and saddening atmosphere had been floating in the air since Sherlock had entered the room about 15 minutes ago.
" Watson ! I can't take it ! said Sherlock, angrily. You've been denying my feelings for too long now. I love you ! I love you so much it hurts ! "
Holmes squeezed his coat at the spot where the heart is in order to show what it does to him. He was now on the verge of crying but was trying to restrain himself from doing so.
" I don't care if it's illegal or not, Watson. I've been trying to get to you, to let you know of my feelings for so long now ! These past few months I was almost on you, just to let you know. HOW COULD YOU NOT SEE IT ? It hurts me. It hurts each time I think about it, Watson. I do not know what to do now ... I've no other options and I hate it for you know it's not how I am ... I don't know what to do. Watson ... "
He was now crying. He didn't even try to hold it back. No. He let it show for his misery and hurt was too much now.
" Holmes ... you silly boy. I've noticed it but never wanted to admit. Holmes ... he said, moving forward the other man. I love you. "
Watson, eyes filled with tears, smiled awkwardly then dropped a beautiful kiss on Holmes' lips who just couldn't believe what was happening and had this lost look only Holmes could ever have.
And whatever Holmes could've thought before, Watson as always loved him too but was too afraid to admit.
Sadness just left them and the eerie atmosphere disappeared as they were kissing deeply.
No law could restrain them from loving each other. No. That was just too silly. And God knows Holmes wasn't stupid nor was Watson.
