While YYZ is pretty difficult, it doesn't hold a candle to Psychobilly Freakout or some of the songs on Guitar Hero III. Rain of Blood by Slayer and Through the Fire and Flames by Dragonforce make the baby Jesus cry, particularly the last one, as it's like 7 minutes long.

That said, YYZ is one of my favorite songs to play on any of the Guitar Hero games, up there with Cliffs of Dover by Eric Johnson, Ziggy Stardust, and Texas Flood.

Oh, I'd say that saying Neil Peart is the penultimate drummer that every drummer in the world wishes they could be is doing him a disservice. I think he's probably the first drummer a lot of people think of when people wish they could be like someone, not the next to last person they think of.

I stand corrected...and correct the blog...*laughs*

Hell...I took the Bear to see her first concert...and it was RUSH. She decided that she wants to grow up to play like Neil...and I told her that every drummer in the Rock world wants to play like Neil. *laughs*

I'm so sorry about that. I can be such a nit-picky bastard when it comes to language. I can usually refrain, but with penultimate, I was using it the way you were for years, then someone pointed out that I'd been using it wrong, and I felt like embarrassed for using it wrong for so long.

I'll agree with you on Peart and Lee, but I can't really put Lifeson in my top 10. It might be the environment he plays in -- his parts aren't nearly as complicated as Geddy and Neil's are. And they're not really as complicated as they sound, either ( ... )
