Well I've been strangely quiet so I figured I'd post and ramble and whatnot.  I've been positively buried in fic, but I've written nothing the past two days.  A bit of overload, I think.  I have started my Valentine's Day fic, and I've got a good idea of the whole thing.  I'm fairly certain I can get it written today.  Hubby is getting tattooed

I saw the photo of your leaving gift on facebook but couldn't quite work out what it was ... a bullwhip? wow! What does that say about you eh? (daren't even think about it lol) It sucks that you could miss out a promotion you deserve because something wasn't done in time by someone else - does that bullwhip come out of the casing? It'll all work out.

I'm in the same boat as you, drowning in fic and not actually getting anywhere with it. I have paragraphs and half ideas all over my hard-drive, but nothing knitting together as a full fic. I will have to sit down and work on my baby!fic thing tomorrow like I did last weekend for Tay's birthday fic. I got some Abby stuff out of my system today which has been begging to be written so maybe that will help the muse.

I like the sound of some Abby/Connor Hatter/Alice loving *g* As for the body swap fic ... no pressure. I don't have the heart to finish it myself, it feels too long ago now ...

I saw you'd put up a new fic... I'll read it today, I'm just trying to get my thoughts out on fluffiness for V-day fic before I delve into reading anything else.

I'm acually quite intregued by the faux-foresome idea... I might have to write it. *grins*

Actually, I was their boss. LOL!

The medal thing is not my boss's fault, the damn secretary that tracks all the stuff assured everyone repeatedly that it was in the system, just hadn't processed, etc... but then I asked about it again, and she opened the database to look it up, and said "oh shit."

Turns out, it needed corrections, and it hadn't auto-notified her so it never got done. Grrr.

I think we are ALL in the same fic boat. Progressing will with baby!fic, you'll be relieved to know. :)

Screw ups like the one the secretary did are pretty major - people make mistakes, but that's huge. I hope there's some recourse for you and you won't be penalized for another's mistake. I guess protocol stands in your way though?

As to the fic...

However... I could imagine all four of them getting it on in the same room, and enjoying a live action porn. I don't know how that would play out, but I think it could still be hot. Thoughts?Yeah... your Hatter's quite possessive and bonded to his Alice. I can't see him sharing, nor can I see Abby sharing Connor. I do think however that perhaps they could do it in front of each other - perhaps Connor and Hatter could have a little competition of a sort? I could see Hatter being the Hatter from Cat's story that Connor and Abby had the threesome with - he was young and adventurous and didn't know sex in the context of love, but since meeting Alice has changed. Or perhaps the devious little vixens of Alice and Abby can torture their men a bit

Well, I'm able to apply to have the medal included in another promotion board (pain in the ass) so hopefully I'm not totally hosed.

Hee! I'm BURIED. Really glad you like Whiteout so much... I really do too, actually. I'm looking forward to finishing it. I hope it flows quickly because of that.

Baby!fic is going to be terribly sweet. I haven't written fluffity fluff fluff for a while, so it's a nice change.

And *blushes* thanks so much for the lovely complement on my Alice fics. Only a few chapters left on 'Forever.'

Back to work...

I'm seriously considering the crossover fic... and your assesment is exactly right. He doesn't share... not anymore, anyway. I could absolutly buy off on young pre-Alice Hatter (as in Cat's fic) in a foursome but now? No way... no *touching* anyway.

My Baby!Fic is uber fluffy - but that was the whole point - to give us all cavities.

As to the 'foursome' fic. If you did it and used the Hatter from Cat's fic, you could have Alice and Hatter on a trip to England and run in to Connor and Abby. It would be awkward at first and Alice would want to know why and how in the hell does Hatter have double, but perhaps after a little time and a little wine, Abby and Alice take the initiative? The two couples could watch each other and spur each other on?

However, I hope after you've finished the baby!fic, Whiteout is next :)

I hope your ficcing remains a source of stress relief and not a source of stress itself...remember your readers love your writing and will be okay with waiting a few extra days! You make the deadlines yourself, and you're clearly a disciplined person, but it's okay to give yourself a little leeway!

just "giving you permission," because sometimes I think women need to give themselves permission to NOT be completely doing everything for other people.

also I quite like the image of you with the bullwhip case behind your desk. Very intimidating indeed!

LOL, well I have passed my self-imposed deadline by a mile... but I'm about half through the next chapter of 'Forever' so progress IS being made. Thanks, though. :)
