Here is an update of the last few days.

Okay, folks, it's time for a real update now.

There is a girl that I work with that I really like. Heck, I was even attracted to her when I wasn't single, but not really in the romantic way. So anyway, this past week I finally got up the nerve to ask her out. It was pretty difficult, since I pretty much thought she couldn't stand me. Mixed signals abound, I finally was able to figure out that she really did like me. Not only that, but there was another guy at work, one of the managers, that really liked her as well. So he basically thinks that I stole her away from him (she wasn't at all interested in him). I've been hanging out with his best friend, Kayla, a lot lately (who he is secretly in love with), so he thought she was replacing him with me.

So that whole fiasco kinda ended with Sara, the girl I like, calling him and explaining that she liked me and not him. So that brings us to Wednesday. I had lab until the cows came home (10:00 PM), and when I got home, my brother Lucas was there. So four beers later, I finally built up enough nerve to ask her out. We decided to go to Granite City on Thursday. Apparently this was the first real date that either one of us ever had, which led to both of us panicking beforehand. Luckily, Kayla was there to save the day. She gave me a lot of advice that really helped. I owe the success of the evening to her. She bailed me out twice that night, once with deciding what to wear (yeah, I'm a little effeminate, shut up) and then with what flowers to get Sara.

So I show up late, because I'm a moron. Not very late, just five minutes or so. But I had an excuse. I walked up and handed her three pink roses. She had never been given flowers on a date before, which must have won points with her somehow. That was Kayla's idea; she seems to have a knack for that sort of thing. God bless her. Anyway, I was incredibly nervous the entire night. We ate dinner and talked for like four hours. Sara is a really nice girl and has an amazing personality. Not to mention she is absolutely stunning. So how this evening went right is beyond me. I was fidgeting all night. Not to mention, the resturant was so loud that I could barely hear her talk. Next time I'll take her to some place a little more quiet. So at about a quarter to midnight, we finally decided to call it a night. Unfortunately, she drove herself there, so the prospect of any sort of kiss goodnight or what not was minimal. So anyway, she made one of her friends jealous because she got flowers.

I was really happy the evening went well, I want another one to happen soon.

On Friday, I had two tests and was kinda tired from Thursday. My test in Ecology went okay, but I fucked up big time on something very very simple. My test in Genetics and Organismal Bio, the only thing that was tricky was the fill in the blank. I bet I did well on both of them, so I am not that worried. From there, I made the drive from Brookings to Fargo to see my brother off to Iraq.

I can't believe how much I miss this city, it is just so much more like home to me that Sioux Falls is. I am currently considering moving back when school is all done. I got a huge jolt of nostalgia on every road I took. I saw things from my childhood that I haven't seen in over five years.

Anyway, last night, Luke kinda ditched me for to see a few friends of his. So I had to spend three and a half, alcohol-free, internet-free, hours in his apartment all alone. So I was, shall we say, a little ticked at him for pulling that. His roomate, Teresa (who I haven't seen in years) comes home and we talk for a while. A little while later, Luke calls and asks me if I wanted a bottle of UV Blue. I love that stuff, so he brings me a quart of that. So we all were drinking for the rest of the night, finally calling it quits around 4:00 AM. I was texting Sara the entire time. Apparently, I'm a real sweetheart when I'm tanked, which has to be a good thing.

Right now, I am currently at my grandmother's cousin, Bonnie's house using their computer. I better stop now.

Ok, I think I'm done. Later guys!
