Just returned back from the first-ever US Social Forum in ATL. I'll be writing more later, but I'll just say that this may also have been my first Social Forum, it certainly will not be my last...

PS - one of the most important messages that was re-iterated a lot was that, as activists, we may become/are arrogant, thinking we know what's good, what's right, & that we're the enlightened ones. And we think our fight is the most important fight, whether it be for racial justice, social justice, environmental justice, economic justice, etc.
BUT this isn't how social change happens. we ALL need to take a step back & realize that we don't know everything. we need to learn from each other & teach each other with love and respect. and we have to support each other's movements to really make change.
