Well its Tuesday night already and Jillian, Connor and I have just got back from tobogganing the evening away. I love it; Connor was so funny he wasn’t sure about it at first but after a few goes he loved it, trudging to the top of the hill pulling the sled behind him. Of course I thought it was great, I wanted to go faster but I slowed down so as not to frighten Connor, the poor child. However we may get a chance to go again before I head on back to England.

Saturday, I spent at Teresa and Randall’s house and I finally got to meet Alana. Surprise, surprise I have fallen in love with yet another baby. She is so cute and such a good little thing and Teresa and Randall are great as her Mom and Dad.

I was very worried that Teresa and I would be uncomfortable with each other but we just seemed to pick up right where we left off which was fantastic. I stayed over, after my turkey dinner of course, and on Sunday morning we got up ready to head out to church.
However we had, had so much snow overnight that unfortunately church was cancelled. Teresa and Randall still had to be out by 11.30 because they were going to brunch with Brian and Debbie for their 30th wedding anniversary so we still had to dig our way out of the driveway. Teresa put Alana to bed and then had the bright idea to shovel the driveway. I couldn’t let her do it by herself so we bundled up and headed out.

It was freezing and seriously we felt like we were chipping snow off a mountain there was that much of it. You all know how much I love snow and all the shovelling that goes with it but by the time we were done, even I was sick of it.
The snow plough had gone down their street and had left a snow bank four feet wide and three feet deep at the end of their driveway.

The snow banks on either side were taller than Teresa and I and it was really tough to throw the snow on the top of them. Eventually (after just over an hour of shovelling) then next door neighbour came over with his snow blower to help us out and we were so grateful. Eventually we managed to leave the house at about 11.40 and Randall dropped me off home where the snow ploughs hadn’t made it to Norman Street yet and the Acura didn’t have its snow tyres on so they dropped me off at the end of the street and I walked to the house.
In the afternoon Sarah came to pick me up and we went to Fairview Mall for a little shopping. Sorry Holly, I’d love to be able to tell you that I was able to not shop in order to ship but alas, I can not. I got some pretty nice new outfits too. I was very happy. I got a little dress for Alana too in Old Navy because I couldn’t resist. It matches the summer dress Sarah bought me for my birthday last year so I hope Teresa likes it.

I’ll wait until the baby shower on Wednesday to give it to her. After that it was off to Ann and Ken’s for dinner and then home to bed.
Monday, Sarah and I went to Michaels and I had another spaz attack when it came to spending money. I just can’t help myself, I love my scrapbooking. In the afternoon Jillian and Connor dropped me off at Chicopee and I spent a few hours visiting with those guys before Teresa, Randall and Alana came by to pick me up.
This morning I got up and went to visit at Lincoln for a while before my boyfriend (who’s 2 years old!!!) Sam, and his Mom Roey and his little brother Jack came by to see me. Sam kept leaving me answer phone messages saying, “where is Assilynn, I want to see Assilynn, I loves Assilynn.” He was very excited when he saw me which yet again made me very happy.

All the kids in Pre-school two at Lincoln were so excited to see me. I came in to the room just as they were about to start circle time and it had to be abandoned because no one was listening. Then I went for a visit in the toddler room where my favourite little girl Julia was. At first she wouldn’t even look at me but after about five minutes she wouldn’t get off my knee. Man, I forgot how much I missed it over here.
Tomorrow is Teresa’s baby shower and I can’t wait to give her the gifts. I’m going over in the afternoon to hang out for bit and then we’ll go to Kathleen’s house for the shower in the evening. I’m a very busy girl, but I’m also a very happy one. Loads of love,
