Preparations for Term-time
1) Masses of undone work, including an unwritten thesis- check.
2) Moderate to high levels of panic- check.
3) Pre-term sleep deprivation- check.
4) Complete ignorance about the subject of my collection- check.
5) Last minute washing- check.
6) Last minute begging my dad to iron my shirts- check.
7) Watching Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip instead of doing/rectifying all of the above- check.
8) Missing friends ridiculously- check.
9) Making lists instead of doing anything productive- er, check.
On the plus side, I'm in the process of finishing up my Shakespeare vac essay. 3000 words and counting. It's actually kind of nice to go back to writing an essay and getting back into the swing of things and thinking, god forbid.
Mum made me a lovely dinner, and we drank surprisingly moderate amounts of wine. I think she's trying to give me some good memories so I'll miss her. Or at the very least, her lemon cheesecake. I think my alcohol consumption might actually go down during termtime. Tune in next week for further updates from the wacky world of Meg's slowly cirrhosising liver. (And shut up, it's a word if I say it is.)
