Ok, I just got out of my last class for the week, yay! It was Drama and the London Theatre, and I think it is going to be my favorite class by far. Here is why: As far as I can tell, the class consists of going to plays and talking about them for about two-three hours. Homework: write about five reviews of 1-2 pages in length for the entire semester. Did I score or what? Plus, today after class, two people came up to me and said they really enjoyed my comments and thought I added a wonderful dymanic to the class. Yay me! And Yay peers who apparently think I'm awesome. I love ego boosts...
This weekend our house was finally finished! and we have heat! and two working bathrooms, and a kitchen with cabinets that don't fall off! No more workers coming into our house at 8am on a Saturday, no more shivering in the dark, finally we can start living in the place full time! This weekend also saw some fun excursions into clubs. On Friday Doug, Brandon, Jen and I went to Soho, which is the "red-light" district of London apparently. There were a lot of restaurants, musical theatres, and bookshops (like Borders and little mom and pop places). And then there were the clubs. ahhh the clubs. We walked past one called "The GAY", and inside it looked like a Rocky Horror Picture Show convention. Apparently, The GAY has three locations in Soho, and we passed them all. We wanted to go in, but the bouncers wouldn't let us, something about "members only tonight." which was sad. Bouncers hate me for some reason. I have nevre gotten past one, even when I'm of age. They look at me, and then seem to make up a rule why I can't go in. Its happened about five times now. I know what it is. They know that if they let me in, my hottness would cause a riot. Dastards. In the end, we went to a place called The Edge, and it was a club for both those of the hetero and homo interested variety. It was lit up like a rainbow on the outside, which made me love it that much more. It was a good time, but become of some private party and the insistence by the tube system to stop all traffic at midnight-thrity, we only got to dance for about forty minutes. We are totally planning on going back though, perferably on thier celebraion of the eighties/ninties night. Yay, eightiestasic!
Meanwhile, I am learning the delicious breakfast making of sunnyside-up eggs on toast. I think it is like my favorite food now. also, one of the only things I am patient enough to make in the mornings. yummm...eggy/toasty goodness. It makes my tummy tingle in tickled joy.
