When I was around six I encountered the name "Gloria" in some children's book and promptly picked it for my daughter's name because I thought it was so beautiful.

I still intend to name my daughter (if I ever have one) Gloria (unless I name her Diana, after Wonder Woman, but one of those could be her middle name). I just know that any friends who know about Eroica are going to assume that I named her after Dorian. I didn't! I picked the name out before Dorian was even created, let alone before I knew about him!

My brother's significant other is named Gloria.

Oddly, I never picked out any girls names, because I always knew I wouldn't need them. And, I've always had an affinity for male names beginning with "J".

Really? Funny, Jason is one of the names I like for boys. But I think it's become a bit too popular these days.

It is also the name of my OC, who was created in 1989.

revealing Claire on the floor with upraised knees, the Major sitting between her legs with his hands apparently up her dress.

LOOOOOOOL!!! And the Major's reaction to the staring of his agents is just so him xD

“She’s naming it Gloria.”

Ah.. shit! I was SO sure that she would name her child "Doria" or "Dorina" *g*

The point of which is to go against the established cliche. ;-P
