Submission Rules Revisited

Oct 17, 2007 16:59

These are in a couple places, so I am putting them together in one neat little post.

Submission Rules

1. Smut is encouraged. Be it fan fiction or fan art. Please put a rating on your posting. (G, PG-13, R, NC-17) The latter two ratings MUST be placed behind an LJ-cut. It is strongly suggested that the post also be friends-locked. This way, only community members will see the protected entry; search engines, random visitors, and underage internet users will not. Also, some folks read their journals at work or in other non-private environments, and these posts may show up on the friends-friends lists of people who are not Eroicafen.

UPDATE: As of December 5, 2007, the comm has the LJ designation of Adult Concepts. All posts will default to this unless changed by the poster. This will keep them from showing up in search engines. (Friends locking will add dual protection to your entry, as only comm members will see the post.) The LJ-cut rule still applies, as those who are of legal age will not notice any difference in the comm's appearance on their friends page.

2. Warnings. PLEASE use them if your post is sexually explicit, contains graphic violence, or death. Some folks squick easy.

3. Please use an LJ-cut for long posts, the type described in rule 1, or image heavy posts. Not everyone has broadband.

4. EVERYONE is encouraged to contribute. If you liked what you see, PLEASE let the author/artist know. Nothing is more discouraging than posting your "baby" and having no one comment.

5. Homophobia outside of a fictional context is NOT welcome. Neither are trolls. Any of the latter found herein will be handed over to Mr. James to be sold on the Black Market.

6. As stated in on the User Info page, the submissions accepted in this community are that of FAN FICTION and FAN ART ONLY. Any posts that are not one of these will receive a warning. If not deleted by the poster, they will be deleted by the mod. (Added 07/25/08)
