We spent the day travelling around and seeing more of the area near the castle. I forgot to repack extra batteries after I changed them in London, so I don't have any of Brighton, but I will get some from others. In the meanwhile, here are a few I took in Alfriston, and two of the white cliffs at Seven Sisters (and the beach). It was very cold, windy and damp today, so if things look blue and depressing, that's likely why.

This is the main road in Alfriston, aka High Street. This is supposed to be 2 lanes wide and so you hug the buildings on the sidewalk when cars pass.

I wanted everything in this store, but bought nothing. *proud*

A B&B... Mum, do you have an alternate life that I don't know about?

Since High Street is so long and everything is so close together (kind of like Water Street in Chatham but twice as long and silly), there are random little underground tunnels that put you on the otherside of the store fronts.

That tunnel led to the lawn in front of this church:

It was Sunday morning obviously, and the bells were chiming a song that made no sense.

Some of the countryside along one of the back trails.

We were climbing over a gate on the walking trail (they're designed for you to do this, the gate is just to keep bikes and bigger things off the trails), and there were some crazy vines with ... berries? Grapes? Morgan had no idea either, hence the expression on her face.

From there, we went to Seven Sisters, and looked at the coast and beach. I got two pictures before my batteries said sayonara, which was fine with me. WAY too windy.

The postcards were really cheap, though. :D Only 15p each!

New batteries are in the camera now, and two of my friends have rechargers so I can use those, too, now. Hurrah! Back to the 'grind' for another school week, but I'm headed back into London this weekend for a Punk Rock exhibtion at some museum for my Brit Studies class, then to the Museum of Childhood for Children's Lit, and to a production of King Lear for Jacobean Shakespeare. More adventures shall ensue. <3
