Season 4 Complete!

I've just finished season 4 of BH 90210. I read on Wikipedia that Shannen Doherty isn't in the show anymore, but I read the synopsis for the first episode of season 5 and it talks about her. Is she actually in the show or do they just make references to her? I think I'm going to miss her on the show

I have watched the seasons all the way through several times via Soapnet, not to mention the first run all those years ago. So that I'm not spoilery, tell me what the synopsis describes.

All the synopsis says is "Brenda decides to stay in London, and Dylan returns from an alcohol-fueled trip to Mexico."

Plus, I'm a Brenda Walsh/SD fan all the way. So, I lost a lot of my joy for the show the first run when Brenda was written off. I still watched it, but I hated Kelly in contempt.

I believe she is in one or a couple of the epi's in the beginning. She goes right after that, and in walks "Valerie".

Either that or she's just mentioned. I think it opens with Brandon saying a few sentences about her. I could have sworn she was not seen at all in Season 5 (and beyond until the new version sightings).

From what I read on Wikipedia (yes, I spoiled it for myself), I was under the impression that she wasn't in season 5, but with the way season 4 ended, and then reading the synopsis of the first episode of S5, I wasn't quite sure. I guess I'll just have to start watching it ASAP to find out!

I watched the first episode last night! As it turns out, they only mention Brenda. She's not even in any of the flashbacks. I miss her already. And I liked Val, until the end when she showed her true colors.
