In the pairings, sometimes it was Beckett and sometimes it was Kate... so just to make it easier, all characters are now denoted by whichever name they go by most often on the show (most go by their last names, like Castle and Beckett, ( Read more... )

Does this mean the other, older pairing tags will be deleted? Just want to know so that, if I have to go back and retag, I can set aside some time to do so. *g*

Not sure what you mean by "other" ones. I just renamed the existing ones, so if you've used a "kate/esposito" tag in the past, for example, it should now automatically be changed to "beckett/esposito." :) Let me know if there's any trouble!

What about Castle/Gina or Castle/Meredith? I don't know how much use either would get - though, personally, I wouldn't mind a well-written Castle/Gina fic - but I've heard in some corners of fandom-at-large OTPers get upset if you don't warn for "alternate" pairings (for example, if there was background Castle/Gina in a fic that eventually ends up Castle/Beckett).

Yeah I was thinking there should be a "castle/other" (to include shaw and sophia, too) since those two tags are in little use, and there are many random Castle pairings that people might want to include.

If you were going to do that, I'd recommend Castle/OtherFC and Castle/OtherMC for those who prefer, or prefer to avoid, slash or het.
