So I've been here a week now, and everything has been amazing so far. Well, not everything. The first few days were pretty much hell... because I could not find anyone I got along with, and I felt beyond socially awkward. But then I met a few people... And things have BECOME for the most part amazing, and it makes me incredibly happy.

THIS is how college was meant to be. There are meant to be late night trips to the sea, where people just talk about whatever or play in the waves with Wellies (rain boots :D). And there are meant to be people from ALL over the world, and joking about each others' customs and food and politics and pop culture. I love having friends with accents. It makes me happy to no end. I love living in a hall that may as well be Hogwarts, because the Dining Hall is just that beautiful and the Common room is just that cozy. I love going out late at night to a pub, and buying a drink not to get drunk, but to sip on while meeting new people. I could join the Rifle, Archery, Jujitsu or Sailing sports clubs, among probably 50 others. There are well over 100 Societies, including Pirate, Medieval (complete with 12 course feasts), Knitting, Anime, Arts and even a Caramel Wafer Appreciation Society. There's so much to do here, it's almost impossible to pick only a few. And of course, there will be classes. And undoubtedly, I will have to get a part time job, unless I want to be broke within the first few weeks. That's the only disadvantage I've found thus far... Everything here costs money. And of course, 2 pounds is 4 dollars and so it's all almost twice as expensive. Also, I know keeping in touch with everyone back home is bound to be a pain, what with the 5 hour time difference. But JESUS, I'm already beginning to feel this is the place I was meant to be.
