Beware the drive-thru of Long John Silver's....
basically I ordered two number 16s (3 piece chicken meals), which come with fries, hushpuppies and slaw...
So I waited a long time to actually get my order. The cashier who took my cash had trouble counting back change, and the employees seemed more interested in messing around than working.
So I get the order, and I drive home. I should have opened the containers and checked then and there...but they did not put fries in either order...and it was on the ticket.
I was mad; I called to complain.
The first person I talk to offered to give me two orders of fries if I came back down or they could put my name on a list for two orders of fries.
I was not going to drive down...let my food get cold, just for fries. So they put my name on the list.
I am still mad, and I ask if I can talk to a manager. So I get to talk to "eric"...
I told him the story, and he offers to put me on the list as well...and I told him the first gal I talked to already had put me down. And then he was like "what do you want then? what do you want me to do?"...
I get 20% off my next order and two orders of fries... for a place I rarely eat at...seriously, it may be another five or six months before I eat there again, it is just not a place I eat at that often.
What did I want?....
well, I wanted Management to know that the service was sub-par, I wanted them to know I expected their employees to process a simple task, I wanted them to know the current shift wasn't doing a good job and I didn't want the next guy in line to have the same experience...
The Manager told me "they were busy"...as if that is an excuse for poor service....not to mention, that statement is coming from a Manager on duty?!
I paid for two orders of fries...I should get two orders of fries.
And the manager should assure me that he would take the information to go coach his employees, and assure me that their standard is that meals are properly served...
I'm not sure if I am more upset with being shorted on my order, or their idea of management.
