I am busy blaming the flood on the Corp of Engineers...
The information provided in their April public meetings essentially said they were going to experience flooding and had a lot of water to deal with...
so they didn't bother significantly releasing water until June...
they blamed it on a heavy rain in May...yet, they didn't significantly increase releases to make more room for that incoming rainfall...
and now, some places will be above flood stage into November or December...
depending on the weather, you have to worry about ice dams that late in the year...which is the reason the water wasn't released earlier this year...
and no spring pulse...which had a chance to get into a more appropriate level...but they continued to operate at levels near the exclusive flood levels...
yes, it was going to flood....no, it shouldn't have been this bad...
thanks Corp for screwing up this year the same way you screwed up the previous years...you're consistent, and that extra snow pack and extra rain really amplified the mismanagement...
