What the Hell, ABC?

I don’t have any health insurance, am barely able to afford college, have had my groceries jump in price, and have relatives in the military, some which are already in the Middle East.

Why do you think I give a flying fuck about someone wearing a flag pin?!

I would go point-by-point by this, but my head was on the verge of exploding last night and it has carried over to this afternoon.

As for the whole “But Clinton is only doing what Republicans are going to do!,” are you serious? Really? I hate, hate, when people try to paint this as Clinton helping Obama come General Election time. Being a Democrat and acting like a Republican should takes you into Lieberman territory. A Republican candidate is not going to have to stand by a Democrat during the General Election and say that that Democrat should be the President of the United States. Bringing up Farakkhan and Hamas, HAMAS, in connection to your Democratic colleague’s church (and, in extension, your colleague himself) is way beyond the pale. I already talked about her whole “McCain and I would make good presidents” crap in another post. Even at his worst during campaign season, George W. Bush didn’t bring up the rumor of McCain’s “black child” in the debates. It was out there, it was whispered, it was hideous, but it wasn’t brought up in the debates. OK, no, not doing this, head on verge of exploding again.
Worst “debate” ever.

Oh, and Charles Gibson is an idiot. I suck at American history and even I know that this:

Just to quote from the Constitution again, ‘In every case,’ Article Two, Section One, ‘after the choice of the president, the person having the greatest number of votes of the electors shall be the vice president.’”

“If it was good enough in colonial times, why not in these times?”
. . . is full of stupid.

[1] The 12th Amendment replaced that Article in 1803, 205 years ago. Gibson, you moron, catch up with the rest of us. You’re in the National Constitution Center, you have the Preamble of the Constitution written all over the place, and you go ahead and ask a question that shows you didn’t even read or research the document.

[2] Did you just seriously ask a woman and a black man, “If it was good enough for colonial times, why not these times?”?

politics, rants
