(no subject)
so what did i do for the storm's anniversary?
well first i worked. and the beau opened today and we all thought for sure we'd be dead. boy were we wrong. so after a severe lashing lindsey and i headed to the mall cuz she wanted to give blood. next thing i know i'm signing up too... didn't actually think they'd let me but they sure enough did. so now i'm sitting there with a needle in my arm watching lindsey get light headed across from me. they had a cloth on her head and were fanning her. i actually got hyper from the experience. towards the end i put my empty cup on my head and one of the nurses asked me if i was ok. i told her i was fine and she asked one of the other nurses to keep an eye on me. i was lmao. lindsey one and random door prize. she had her pick of the wlox storm dvd or the biloxi and the storm dvd( i detest calling it by her name) we left there and wandered around the mall for hours, looked at rings and she found the special edition V for Vendetta dvd. btw, if you haven't seen that yet, you need to.
when we headed home we watched the dvd lindsey got from the mall and i have to say, it's pretty depressing. then again, anything about it is nowadays. then she told me about this article she read. this is truely the greatest thing ever. it's an interview with Gov Haley Barbour and the SunHerald http://www.sunherald.com/mld/sunherald/news/special_packages/hurricane_katrina/katrina_first_anniversary/15356713.htm
this thing needs to go national, seriously because the only people who know that bay st louis and waveland were wiped off the face of the earth are locals. (speaking of locals, anyone here brett farve bash MS citizens? boy that came back to bite him when the BENGALS WOOPED GREEN BAYS ASS!!! THE BENGALS!!! i know they're not from here but they are considered one of the worst teams when you think about it)
so anyway, tonight i looked out and to the south over the water are ominous towers of clouds streaking heat lightning through them in almost a furious manner. as though the weather itself remembers this day a year ago. it was kinda creepy.
anyway, so that's what i did!
