Dean stared at the TV, intently listening to the Behind the Music on Motley Crue. He was waiting for his brother and the boy across the street to finish primping themselves. He chuckled at the thought of Sam curling his hair with an iron, accidently snorting soda up his nose.

"Dean? You ready?"

"Been ready, Samantha," Dean called back, looking at the stairs where Sam was shrugging on a dark brown jacket. He wore a white and light blue striped button down, with blue jeans and boots. "You look the same as always," Dean complained. "You'r never gonna get laid." he knew he himself wore the same dark blue button up over a Black Sabbath shirt. Same as usual.

"Shut up," Sam shot back, crossing the front room to answer the door. Dean watched Mick Mars talking, ignoring whoever had rang. "Cas," Sam greeted. "Dean, come on."

"I'm comin', keep your pants on." The blonde hit the power buttong on the TV, and pushed past Sam. He almost ran into Cas, who seemed to have this issue with proper personal bubbles. "Jesus, Cas, you don't have to stand so close."

"My name's Castiel." Dean rolled his eyes, looking down and stopping. Castiel's usually styled hair was flattened, the black bangs almost reaching his eyes. His face was for once shaved, and looked smooth like his black silk shirt. His hands were shoved into the pocket of black slacks and his blue eyes looked off.

"I know what you're name is," Dean protested once he'd gained the ability to stop gawking.

"Apparently you don't." Cas scoffed, following the brothers to Dean's beloved car. The 1967 Chevy Impala had once been John Winchester's. Then the man had given it to Dean, buying a reliable truck instead.

Cas climbed into the backseat without question, setting his folded hands in his lap. He stared out of the window, up at where the moon should've been. Dean glanced at him in the rearview mirror.

He secretly wondered why Castiel never looked at the other occupants or spoke much while in the car. He always just stared out of the window with those large blue eyes, as if seeing something that wasn't there.

Secretly, so deep down even Dean didn't realise, he wondered if his bestfriend ever thought of him.

The drive to the teen club was filled with Sam and Dean arguing over whether the music would suck, occasionally asking Castiel what he thought of one of the songs. As soon as they pulled into one of the parking spots, Dean noticed Castiel freezing up. His pale skin seemed to drain further of color, and his body looked tense.

Dean nudged Sam, nodding at their friend. His baby brother frowned, reaching back and touching Cas's arm. The ravenette jumped, looking at him. "Dude, you okay?"

"I'm fine... Just thought I saw someone." he climbed out of the car, cracking his back loudly. The Winchester's raised their eyebrows, but asked nothing more about the subject as they followed. They quickly passed all the teens making out against the tall brick wall; Dean snickering when they saw Jimmy, Cas's twin brother, making out with Ruby.

"Grow up," Cas grumbled, once they were inside. The neon strobe lgihts assaulted their eyes, and the loud pop music invaded their ears. Sam waved at his friends as he ran off towards the 'Geek Squad.' No matter how many times he explained it, Dean wouldn't stop calling them Sam's friends that. And he only laughed at Cas's explanation.

Cas just didn't get it.

Sam and his friends were not the Geek Squad, thought some could fix computers.

Dean plopped unceremoniously down into a booth, watching the girls on the dance floor. Cas felt his throat constrict when a predatory gleam entered those beautiful hazel eyes. That look always hurt.

That look was never aimed at him.

Cas turned his head, sighing as he rested his chin on his hand. His thoughts drifted off to earlier that day; the kiss he and his bestfriend shared. He bit his lip, trying to keep his smile hidden from the blonde. He heard murmuring and sighed, knowing what that meant.

He looked up at Dean, who had his arm wrapped around a pretty ravenette with dark eyes. "Hey, Castiel!"

"Pamela," he felt himself smile at the young girl, who was going blind in her left eye. Pamela Barnes; his first girlfriend. He had taken her to see a lazer show, to the sound of a Ramone's album.

"You look handsome," he flushed slightly, ducking his head. "I guess GRumpy's here too?"

"Mhmm," Cas nodded, his eyes straying to Sam who was doing some odd rendition of the chicken dance with Gabriel Milton.

"I saw Amelia earlier," she says slowly, making Castiel drop the piece of gum he'd been about to pop into his mouth. He felt his world swirl slightly, gulping. Dean frowned, reaching out slightly as if to steady him.

"Who's Amelia?"

"Noone... go have fun you two. Dance, and such." Cas urges them, running a hand against the back of his neck. Dean nods slowly, pulling Pamela after him. Just as he's almost out of sight, the blonde gives this cocky grin, blowing a kiss to the ravenette.

Cas blinks in surprise, feeling the knot in his chest loosen at the sight.
