Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy Heron) was released a few weeks ago. Windows on my laptop was starting to chug which indicated it was time to reformat it (I typically do a full format of my computers ever 3-4 months just to start fresh). So I decided to give ubuntu another try. I had version 7.10 install a few months ago just to try it out. Out of the box, I had trouble with several driver issues (sound and wifi) but over all the experience was great. I actually prefer ubuntu than Fedora which I use at work. Now with 8.04 out, everything works perfectly. My only gripe with ubuntu 8.04 is that the linux client of google desktop is still janky. There's no widgets only a search function! My plan for the next few weeks is to try out (again) WINE (a windows emulator) and see if I can install WoW.
WoW update:
Mage is 55, still fire spec.
Since I'm a holy priest now, I'm collecting the gladiator mooncloth set. It's a shame that I can't d/e pvp gear since I already have 3 pieces of the shadow set gear :(.
