Yeah, I keep toying with that idea then thinking "you know nothing about the jungles of South America (or wherever the hell she was - see?!)

I felt the same way... then I remembered the magic of the interwebs. John in T2 and the SCC writers have said she was in Nicaragua for at least a little while, T1 took place in 1984, follow the bouncing ball of dates and locations through google and wikipedia, and that's how I got references to the Contras. XD See? The internet gives you the ability to bull shit your way through anything!

John's birth story, that seems to be a tale worth telling, whichever of the two TSCC versions you may choose!

I got the feeling that both were meant to be serious and that Sarah wasn't lying to Kacy about anything more then Kyle, so I keep trying to find a way to reconcile the two since I think it was just a case of two writers not conferring closely enough. Maybe a medic from her camp was with her and did an emergency c-section in the back of that chicken truck when they realized they wouldn't make it to town soon enough?

... plus, no Derek!

But if that c-section was done under less then ideal conditions by a battlefield medic, I'm sure she'd have a veritable fuckton of adhesions... would that be enough to leave her unable to have more kids? Would open the door for her and Derek to *ahem* uninhibited. See, plenty of reasons to visit the past! And you'd be so much better at that type of story. I've got like... 3 over arching ideas that some fic concepts hinge on that I need beta-ed by a doctor to see if they're even plausible cause I'm such an oblivious ditz sometimes. XD

*LOL* WTF indeed. Bloody Idjits. Hopefully it'll be on the DVD. Course, I'd only be interested in it as an insight into Sarah's inner pain... *ahem*...

And if it isn't on the DVD even after they admitted it was filmed, we'll have to nudge people on AfterEllen to raise holy hell.

But INSIGHT... of course. I'll be... enlightened right along with you. No judgments here. ^_~

Wikipedia is your friend. Unless it tells you lies, but then how would you know that anyways?!

Jesus, bloody feathers'd be everywhere! I think the concensus on scs.net was that the Truth was a little too traumatic for Kacey to hear whilst she was laid up with the bleeding and everything, so Sarah watered it down just a little to make it less scary. That or the writers fucked up... ;-) Either way, there's a decent fic in there somewhere!

Would open the door for her and Derek to *ahem* uninhibited. See, plenty of reasons to visit the past! And you'd be so much better at that type of story.

Ses who?! Although I will totally, never rule anything out, I love a challenge!

Chuck 'em my way if you want, I'm not a doc by any stretch but I have some good books and a library log-on that allows me to access all sorts of obscure medical stuff. I tend to log on to look up something like "urinary tract infection in the elderly" and end up searching for "small calibre ballistic injuries to thigh..." instead.

And if it isn't on the DVD even after they admitted it was filmed, we'll have to nudge people on AfterEllen to raise holy hell.

I love AfterEllen, I love it even more after Brunch with Bridget...

*nods* Insight. It's all about the inner pain. Definitely. Honestly. Absolutely. Fuck. I tell so many lies, I am seriously going to hell...

Sorry for the ambiguity. Ahem, you would be so much better then ME at writing a story with a medic under less then ideal conditions and the like. The Derek bit is just a freakin' bonus.

Ahahahaha, you sound like me whenever I get near EBSCO. THANK YOU though... you do realize you just opened yourself to a flurry of messages, right? XD Lemme just hammer out some nice summaries. :D

I love AfterEllen, I love it even more after Brunch with Bridget...

It has become my perverse wish to walk on set as someone is supposed to hand Sarah a gun, put a banana in her hand instead, scream "COME ON ZOMBIES," and see how long it takes her to crack.

Fuck. I tell so many lies, I am seriously going to hell...

I'll save you a good spot on the boat going down. At least you'll have someone to party with on the way. I'll mix the drinks!

*vbg* Ahh, that makes more sense! But like I said, I do like a challenge...

Knock yourself out hon. After Some Must Watch... aired, Roxyb had me researching "biting through your own tendon" all Saturday afternoon! (FWIW, we decided Sarah'd not actually done that - far too many complications!)

*vbg* I have watched that far too many times to be healthy. "Everything's nice now!" has become a household catchphrase...

Awesome. All the interesting people are headed that way anyways...
