Toby, a turkey, and the inheritance tax

Dec 03, 2006 01:26

Today was good.  I wasn't excepting that.  I was a nice surprise.  It was also an oddly fanish day.  First I was reading an academic book on the demise of the death tax, published by a University Press and everything, and they quoted the West Wing in it.  Literally, they gave the diolouge even attributing it to Toby, Josh and Leo respectively, as if every reader was expected to know exactly who they are.

Next, and even more amusing, when speaking with a theater friend we turned to the subject of special effects.  Suddenly he goes, "I need to make the blood more explosive" and it was if I was immediately taken to the Tarentino Turkey exchange during Studio 60.

Obviously the whole world is watching my shows.

Otherwise, the approaching holiday has started and gift purchasing must begin.  My first hurdle, the charming and personal gift for someone who I don't know as well as I should.  This could get interesting.
