lol@ the suburbs. Ppl look @ me like I'm an alien for having some blue hair. Really? We are still shocked about odd colored hair after all these decades?
Haha I bet. I am actually in the process of making/installing some dreads. Though they will be synthetic. My hair is pretty thin so if I try dreading it alone it looks funny.. so I like to beef it up with some plastic hair.
I am probably going to leave them in long-term though and just keep tightening them. I wish I could just have natural dreads again but I fucked my hair up and now it just looks all thin and scraggy. I am only putting them on the "top".. so like I will have some normal (blue) hair in front, then the stuff underneath, but the dreads will probably cover it all. I just had to have some free hair to mess with or it would bug me, heh.
As for the colors.. the blue is in the front and sides and then the under/back part came out more of a tye dyed aqua/green color. It is actually pretty cool.. i was happy that it didn't come out blue as I had intended.
I wanna see your blue! I miss blue but I had to bleach it nearly to horribly gooey death to get it the first time, I'll never do it again.
If you guys do move down here, you should get your dreads done by Shannah, a friend of mine who has her own shop. Twisted Salon. She's badass. Does super good work.
Wow! Your hair has gotten soooo long. And I thought mine was long. You kicked my ass. I fucking love it though. And those pictures are very beautiful/sexy
( ... )
It really is insanely long. And heavy. Good god heavy, especially when wet. Thank you!
Haha I know what you mean, I just found some pics of me back when I was blond, in between colorings and I was more than a little creeped out. I can't wait to see!
With bleach my colors came up fine but years ago, after so many many many times it just turned soft and like elastic. If it hadn't been dreaded I am almost certain that I'd have lost all the length.
What kind of dye do you use?
To avoid pillow case/sheet staining, I now have red sheets. So if my red hair stains it, you'd never know it.
Shannah is Hair Police trained, has had dreads herself, skilled at synth, natural extensions and regular dreads. Plus she's one of the most awesome people I've ever met. She's not cheap, but she's not super expensive either. She's reasonable.
You are something else girl. You and those gorgeous eyes of yours. I'd forgotten about your eyes.
Oh that is very cool that she is Hair Police trained. Hair Police started here in Minneapolis and I have always wanted to go to them to have my dreads done. They just seem to be the best, ya know. So yeah if I can ever afford it once I am down there I will definitely be trying to get here to do mine.
Right now I am just using the crap ass manic panic that I get at a store here called discland. I have tried some of the other dyes from beauty supply stores, but have yet to settle one one.. but for now its MP =/
What kind do you use?
Thank you so much about the eye comment. I use to think I lucked out on the eyes until I saw Phaedra and Aara's. They really beat me out in that department!
I also have a couple of questions for you while I am rambling on, but I am going to send them in a private message.
