Half a block away from me I discovered a Concord grape vine. It is growing up a tree and on a fence in someone's yard, but many bunches hang down over the sidewalk. When walking by, the air is sweet and fragrant. I have been plucking a couple of bunches per day, eating some right away and storing others in the fridge. They are so far superior to conventional commercial grapes (in terms of flavor and
health benefits) that it's like manna from heaven for me. It's a good thing I'm around because otherwise it seems these grapes would rot on the vine.
