Summary: After losing his partner, Jared ("Johnny Hooker") comes to Chicago looking for revenge on the killers. He meets Jensen, a great grifter gone to seed. They run a long con on Morgan, get a police detective off Jared's tail, and get richer than they need. So much is celluloid history. This story takes them a little beyond, into their last night in Chicago. What's going through Jensen's mind, and just why did he get back in the game for this kid?

Artist notes: spn_cinema is one of my very favorite challenges, in that an artist can claim a film and do their own thing. But collaborating with an author is also fun. Sometimes, an author claims a film that is a personal favorite. Sometimes, that author is a cool person for whom you don't mind doing extra work. And sometimes, the original movie poster just cries out for a redo. So one day, brutti_ma_buoni mentioned The Sting as one of the movies she was considering for spn_cinema, and despite the mass of art already piled up, I was soon a-knocking at M's door going "Psst! Want some art for that?"
[LOLprocess.]I came, I looked, I drew. Not much else to say, as this piece is but a copy of the original poster. :) I will say that, as a fan of the cooler spectrum, all those warm colors were killing me.
