The Mermaid and Mrs. Hancock by Imogen Hermes Gowar. I enjoyed this book very much - the concept of the mermaid was handled in a way I found reminiscant of Peter S. Beagle's The Last Unicorn. I feel in love with Mrs. Hancock as she also kept pet mice.
I Am Nujood, Age 10 and Divorced by Nujood Ali with Delphine Minoui. Another book that reinforced my deep mistrust and disgust with men and the patriarchy.
By Her Own Hand: Memoirs of a Suicide's Daughter by Signe Hammer. I was not prepared by how close to home this book would hit me. After finishing this book I went into the mental hospital for suicidal ideation.
Victoria: A Life by A. N. Wilson. I started reading this non-fiction in the mental hospital. An excellent biography of a Queen who WAS instead of a Queen who DID.
