LJ ate my evening!
Well, I gave in and ended up playing with my layout After spending about forty five minutes reading various FAQs about how to create your own style from scratch and custom layer, I eventually found that the thing that I really wanted to change could be done with just a simple bit of custom CSS. Problem solved. I then spent the next 4 hours creating a new background and a new banner. Well, 2 new backgrounds because I found a nice bit of code that apparently lets you have multiple backgrounds on a web page, however, this did not work so I ended up just shoving it at one big image. Also, I'm aware that anyone with a screen resolution that is not 1280x1024, will not actually be able to see my new layout in it's full glory - but I don't care since I'm the one who'll be looking at it :D. Also got a new banner done, used elements of the other one just changed a few bits and I'm now actually pleased with it. Huzzah!
So basically by the time I had done this, the majority of my evening had gone away, never to return. Any thoughts I had of watching more D.Gray-man were shattered (I seem to prefer watching that series mid-evening time, I don't know why), but I did watch the last episode of Kurozuka (still none the bloody wiser as to what was actually going on!) but oh well. Hopefully, even if I do decide to do it tomorrow, playing around with my icons won't eat up the evening as much as this did - though I fear it will >.<
Anyway, I'm off to Bluewater tomorrow with Mum, and I'm gonna get a couple of exercise books for the Japanese stuff (two small ones for Hiragana and Katakana and two bigger ones for Kanji and actual language learning), that way I can do all the little exercises in the books I have without having a billion sheets of paper floating around. Anyway, I should shut up for a bit and go read some more Cromartie. Oh yeah, that's my strategy for reading the manga I have - Read some before bed!
