Back at Marquette
Well, I'm all moved in back at Marquette, and I'm very excited to begin the semester. I will have a pretty full load, with 18 credit hours, but I think I will be able to handle it. Cody and I will attack organic together, and I know some people in my physics and calc classes. Then I'm hoping that phil and lit will be easy. I also would like to tutor this semester. But I'm getting ahead of myself...
We had a cookout at the Chateau tonight. It was really nice to meet a bunch of the new people. We have a LOT of new people on our team this year, guys and girls. It's neat to add on people each year. Our xc and track team here at Marquette are simply my second family, so meeting the new people is sort of like having new grown up kids and meeting them!
We did a long run today. Susie and Alli helped me survive the 12 miler. We started later in the day than I'm used to, about 10:30 am, so it was already pretty hot. Our team is going to be great this year. I am beyond excited to get racing.
Finally, Kristin and I have this masterful design to our room. Straz 1112 has got to be BY FAR the coolest looking room in the entire dorm. Not to mention that I have the greatest roommate. It's always nice to room with someone you get along with, but Kristin and I are so much alike. Our differences, however, are interesting to pinpoint. Kristin challenges me to be more outgoing, to work a little bit harder, and to be a little more thankful. I am so fortunate to have an influence like her in my life this semester.
