Wasteland April 08
so, it's a couple days after but wasteland this year was hella fun.
Friday-
Left Detroit at 10:30AM, got to cleveland around 2, walked to tower city putzed around for a bit, caught a bus to strongsville and got to the holiday inn at 5. I was bored for the first hour or so because i didn't really see anyone i knew so i just waited for a few people to get there. After a bit i finally saw a few friends, so i dropped my stuff of in their room and so began my alcohol binge. We went 14 beers deep in my purse so we didn't have to keep going to the room >.< Sat at the bar for a bit, me and Dan played about every Beatles song on the juke box until the bartender said no more. After that those boys decided to call it quits, and i ran into a couple kids i met before who somehow remembered me, they were with a couple other people too, so we went back to their room, drank a shit ton (I FINALLY had absinthe and it was amazing) went back to the convention ended up playing "strip elevator" where we would guess which door out of two was going to open next. It was pretty sweet.
After that I don't really remember too much, but i think we just went back to their room and passed out.
Saturday-
Woke up around 9:30 and the guys asked me if i wanted to go to the rock and roll hall of fame, i've never been there and they said i could get in free. (IF you say you're a touring band they just let you in) and there wasn't really anything i wanted to catch before 1:30. So we went to the hall of fame which was fucking sweet, and they had a whole beatles exhibit which i absolutely adored. After that we headed back to the convention, Caught a Q&A then went to TGI Fridays, where we began to drink. After getting food my friend john had to go pring some flyers for the show he was playing that night so we went to kinkos which was right by the mall so me and kyle ran in there for a bit, then john and joe came in as well. I almost stole a bunny from the pet store >.< but had no where to keep him/feed him so i decided not too. After that, we went back watched a few movies chilled and drank more Then it was time to head to John's show in Brooklyn, Where Jen and her Bf joined the party. at the show we drank (obviously. and damn i sound like a drunk) there was this black guy just thrashing around he was hella cool, then he drank some hot sauce (like ridiculously, ridiculously hot) and got a free cd.
Around 11:30 we headed back to the hotel, bummed around the room for a bit, Drank and Smoked a lot, then me and Kyle decided we were really hungry, so of course i have my emergency popcorn but we had no microwave, so we walked to the holiday inn thinking there was one in the lobby (there wasn't) So we waked into the hotel restaurant's Kitchen and there was a microwave, so we made our popcorn. BUT we did not stop there, I guess The holiday INN likes to leave the deep fryer on at 2 in the morning, so we opened their freezer and made a shit ton of the most delicious mozarella sticks you'll ever see. 10 minutes into our deep fryer escapade two dykes who worked at the holiday inn walk in (obviously to blow eachother, why else would they be in the closed kitchen... they weren't cooks) only to see me and kyle enjoying our delicious snacks and one of them goes "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN HERE?!" the other "HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN HERE" and kyle responded "uh the door you just walked in" we laughed because we were high and one of the dykes goes "WELL GET OUT!" so we took our popcorn, our cheese sticks, and our stolen cereal and left.
After that escapade, we headed back to our room, drank and smoked some more then passed out.

The saddest day.
Woke up around 8:00 we picked up our room and the boys had to head out at 9, but they said i could stay in the room to sleep and shower and whatnot. So i said my goodbyes and got a little kiss from kyle (BTW why do the most perfect boys have to live far away? I don't get it) so yeah, i went back to bed for a bit, took a shower then headed to the dealer's room where i got a couple movies, and more posters and might have talked to lloyd kaufman for a little too long. he did give me a poster half off though which he signed and called me a "toxeriffic goddess" then kissed my cheek, what a silly old man. haha he is my new best friend though according to him. So after i had what i wanted i decided to leave a little early, because the only person i still knew there was jen and she was busy with her man. So i started walking to my bus stop and LUCKILY ran into dan at the gas station who offered me a ride to downtown cleveland. my bus didn't leave til 5:45 PM
so i had to putz around the mall for a few hours with absolutely no money, i don't think i've ever been so bored. Went to the greyhound station around 5, got on the bus, and headed home. Got to detroit at 9:45 where my nick picked me up, went to his house for a bit then i came home and CRASHED like i've never crashed before.
It was an amazing weekend. (pics soon, as soon as i get my computer fixed)
And I've talked to John and Kyle and am planning to head to Jersey in June to stay with them for a week or so.
I'm super excited.
6 More months til the fall show, the countdown started the second i left.
ps- i doubt anyone read this let alone cared to, but it's more for personal rememberance.
