ALL OF THE TIME. i feel like it also happens with the rest of the gang too, like when random hyde/jackie events are going on, or donna and eric have to give them advice or opinions and stuff and they realize they're treating this like an actual serious relationship and but what even it's JACKIE AND HYDE HOW DID THIS EVEN HAPPEN AND WHEN DID WE START TAKING IT SERIOUSLY WHEN DID THEY START TAKING IT SERIOUSLY?

Because theirs is such a caring friendship even if they would never admit it. And then because they're boys being boys they brush it off in the end, but it's still there, the caring, because Eric knows Hyde and he knows Jackie is making him happy and even if he doesn't like Jackie he wants Hyde to be happy so to reiterate CRYING MYSELF TO SLEEP
