color me infuriated

today as i walked home from the wits executive meeting, i was lost, deep in thought. as some of you may have noticed, my deep in thought face often involves a little bit of a scowl, and usually a pointed stare somewhere in the distance (today at the ground). this is not to say i'm unhappy, just concentrating. so. as i walked home with this expression, some guy on his cell phone says, "hey." i look up. he says, "smile." i give a reactionary smile. he says, "there ya go." i look away as i'm already past him on the sidewalk. he says, "you're much prettier when you smile." i speed up so as to not walk back and bitch him out julia sugarbaker style.

i don't even partially understand why that was an acceptable comment.
