Updates...yes I will try more often.
I finally got back to some of the routine I had before. Not all of it but some of it. I finally got daily reading back into everything. I finished Fade Out and got much further into Black Magic Sanction. I also picked The Twelve Dancing Princesses again. The last book is not what most people think it is. But that is okay. I hope that I can keep up with the reading. I have been doing some other reading for things but that has been slow as always. I did manage to make it to the store that we have book club in. I missed book club this month. I was sad that I had, but hey at least I'll make next month. I did get to pick up a few books.
So the stress the past few weeks has been high. Setesh decided that he would pee and poop on the NEW couch. Grrr...not happy at all about that. We got it cleaned up did a repeat with the new company who said that odor is not cover. So we just took care of it. We have got it covered up now and I guess it will stay that way. We TRIED to feed Setesh on the couch for a while to see if that would help. It did for a minor bit and then we caught him starting to do something. It was not a happy thing at all. So who know what to do about it now. As I was typing this he tried to pee on the stairs. Grr...UGH.
Last week the stove decided it would start to making popping noises and a burning smell. Well we got the guy out to check it since we have a plan and he did just that. We found out it was the cord and plug that were bad and not covered. Paul got it fixed. We also had the washer and dryer and dishwasher looked at since we have plans for them all. The guy made the comment we were smart to do that or it would have cost us a whole lot to find out about just the cord not working on the stove. I also got the knob on the dishwasher replaced. They said it would take 7 to 10 days and it was there 3 days later and not having to pay for it is nice. Yeah we did buy the plan but it has been nice for the few times when things have not worked and we got them fixed.
Another fun thing in this all was the basement flooding. We caught it early and with someone's help we got it started to take care of it. It was not great all. The water just kept coming in and this was something we had talked to the condo people about and they said it was not the foundation. Well this pretty much changed that opinion. We took pictures just so we have a record of it. Not fun at all. So now that it is just about dry it is raining again. We shall see what happens. In the almost 7 years we have lived here. It has never done this. So this was something new and an added stress.
The basement and the stove all happened at about the same time. Which was right before my mom who has been staying with us for 4 weeks left. I do miss having her gone now.
I'm adjusting to the new life again. Changes are hard and well these changes are things you can't plan for at all. If you want more on the family life comment and let me know and I'll add you to the group. I will say I started a blog for Mary now but have not updated it yet, but I will soon.
I have got back to cooking more. It is strange to say that I did not do as much. The cleaning and cooking and laundry always seem to take up time and well it is not easy at all. I'm doing my best. I certainly have not got out as much as before, but it will take time to adjust.
One part i have not got back yet is my fitness. I'll really have to work on that soon. I have lots to loose again. Not as much as other I know but I want to lose about 40 pounds.
