Winter time...
Another great book club and now more books to read. I should bet to them sooner rather than later. I chatted more with Jon about readers and what to get. There are lots of choices but not sure still which I would get. It is not something I want to jump into lightly right now. I'm still considering going that direction at some time. I know that I can get a few from the library and that might help cut some costs down for me. I'm still not sure over all what to do just yet.
Winter is finally here. We had some cold days and today it is snowing. There is not as much outside as they said we were going to get. Church is canceled because of the snow. I wish it was not, but that is okay. I can always go next week. A month off has not been fun I miss it. The snow is nice though. It makes for a nice time for Christmas. I'm looking forward to it. I was not earlier and lost most of my Christmas spirit, but seem to have it back now. It is going to be a good few days. I have a few things planned. Hanukkah went well this year as well. We did something almost every night. We missed one night but that is okay.
I have 99% of my shopping done. That makes me happy. I hope to just relax the next few days. The mad dash of people to the store yesterday was funny. We did our normal shopping but found lots of things were not in the store. That is frustrating, but just have to deal with it for now.
Someone said that LJ was going away. I still plan on blogging. I have not stopped. It might have slowed down some but no plans to stop any time soon. I like my written record. Facebook etc are fun but not the record that I would write here. We shall see what happens. I know that most of my friends are not around any more or don't post any more.
My cleaning this week has been slow. I've been off and on getting a cold that finally settled in. I know it has not been the best, but at least I got a few things done. I'm looking forward to being over it and not having the cold any more but I know it takes time.
I'm looking forward to some Christmas cooking. I just need to get it started. Paul made me cookies last night. He is getting great at that. It is nice to have fresh cookies to eat. It is a wonderful time and should be great fun for the family as well.
The next Doctor Who movie was on last night and I feel asleep and went to bed during it. UGH. Oh well at least it is recorded and I can watch it today. It is nice to have the DVR, just need to watch a few things on it and get them off. Plus then there is the Christmas special next week! So much going on. I can't believe it all.
Now to think about my year in review post and think about everything that has happened.
