She needed to leave. Fast. Like, ten minutes ago or something. She tried to clear her head and hoped that Avasa hadn't picked up that she'd been awakened. Quickly, she glanced around the room and saw the window. She moved over to it, and decided it was her best route. It wouldn't disturb the couple, and she could slink away to...er...wait outside. Or something. Clear head! She needed a clear head! She tried to center herself, and did, then went for the window.

She had to get out of there. She picked a direction and went, leaving the cabin behind. She promised herself she wouldn't go far, since...well, she didn't know if she went away if he'd start losing coherency again. That would be pretty traumatic for Dawn.
And that was the trick, really. Think about the trauma Dawn could go through, Avasa could go through, instead of her own feelings. So, right. Helping. Just helping in the not being in the way, way. Which was a perfectly valid way to help.
Helping. Yeah.
