Well, I've been busy lately. Many birthdays and other family-things, good roleplaying, I (re)read some good books.

I still have doubts about work. Not that I hate it, I just don't feel challenged. And thus not motivated.
Hah, that's a pretty good summary of my personality right there :D So, the thing is, few things keep me engaged for a long time. I also suffer from the same urge Rutger has: the need to feel useful to society. Or at least to someone... (He is having doubts about his new job already - again! - we'll see how that ends :) )

But on the other side, I like the relative security, I get paid well and I have nice co-workers. The work's not hard, but certainly not brainless either. So maybe it's wiser to keep the job and challenge myself in other ways. Find a place where I could learn arabic, or proper portuguese. Get my drivers license (been meaning to do that for a while). Perhaps pick up music again. Stuff like that.

In related news: I'll be doing some re-enactment this summer. Basically, it is a kind of volunteer work for the local tourist department. I'm tickled by the concept of just standing around in a medieval dress, confusing people with random stories and such.
