Stupidity is....
playing a really dumb prank--one that is neither funny to the perpetrator, nor even harmful, just lame, and then denying it in the face of photographic evidence.
I don't think the half-assed practical joke played on my floor is supposed to cause so much amusement on the part of the prankees. Or to make the pranksters look so incompetent.
(And now, they've installed a camera in the stairwell connecting our floors, looking straight at the door leading to our suite. Not only is it possible, even easy, to avoid the camera's light of sight in order to vandalize it, but they've now guarded the last possible entrance to the suite for us, so if anything happens in the next 24 hours, either they have it on tape, or we do, or something's fishy. Like I said: stupid.)
You have to wonder about stuff like this....
