Too old?
I was at the Mangaholix convention today. It was a spontaneous thing. I suddenly thought "Oh hell, why not?" I told bomalabs about it and the next thing I knew she told me she was coming over and we're going together. Hehe. XD
Well, the con was like any other con I'd been in. There were the bands, the cosplaying fans, the fans dressed in goth/J-rock fashion, the booths, etc. There were loads of people and I spent maybe an hour standing up watching the cosplay skits while trying to look over people's shoulders. My back hurt from the effort. Then later Haado Gei made an appearance. Afterwards we wandered around to look at the stuff being sold. Then finally after some time we got tired and we found a spare space by the wall and sat down to rest.
We saw some people we knew, some people we always saw in cons. I even saw someone from work whom I never expected to be there. XD I guess that's what made cons great, it's a place where you meet like-minded, like-interested (if there's such a term)people whom you later call friends.
The con wasn't that great. It lacked the usual "omph" for some reason. I don't know if it's because my favorite and adored cosplayer wasn't there, or because I was tired. It just wasn't as fun as it used to be. I don't know if I'm getting too old for such stuff. Maybe I just miss the familiar faces. I miss going to cons with friends. Or maybe it's because I'm just not as anime-crazy as I was before...
Maybe I also should be more proactive. Perhaps next time I should really carry out my longtime dream of cosplaying. XD Perhaps. Or organize my own con. Haha. XD
Had an early dinner at Delifrance though. Now that I enjoyed a lot. XD lol Pasta is loooooove.
And OMG. YUURAAM! YUURAAAM! I need Kyou Kara Maou 2!!! Need more YuuRam!! Need more adorableness!! EEEEEEEEE! >w
