my uncle, john talencio, is one of the most amazing men on the planet.
in vietnam he was a sargent in the green beret.
which is basically as high up as you can get in the army.
the green beret are were they put the men that are so brave and amazing that you can't give them rules.
apparently, he decided he wanted to volunteer in iraq.
so he left.
he is 58 years old and looks 48.
right now he's driving convoys across 8 different countries as an expert with radar equiptment.
he's working to block cell phone signal in the areas he's driving through, because the convoys are getting bombed by cell phone waves apparently.
he can't help but be a soldier.
and at first i cried alot. but i think i'm really proud of him.
he is the epitome of man. and if anyone has to be fighting in this war, i'm glad it's him.
those 20 year old kids need someone to learn from and to protect them.
and i know that is exactly what he'll do.
pray for him please.
