For the past several years I've done these memes looking back at the previous year, so I figured I'd keep up with tradition. Here is a brief look at my life in 2013.
1. Which TV shows did you start watching in 2013? Broadchurch, and The Originals
2. Which TV shows did you let go of in 2013? None, which is a bit problematic. :P
3. Which TV shows did you mean to get into but didn't in 2013? Nothing. In fact, I actually started watching reruns of a bunch of stuff during the hiatuses.
4. Which TV shows do you intend on checking out in 2014? Gracepoint, because even though it’s a bastardized version of Broadchurch, it has DAVID FRICKIN TENNANT in it. Also, Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. I’m waiting to watch it in the summer in one big binge-watching event.
5. Which TV show impressed you least in 2013? Why? Doctor Who. Moffat and his nonsensical plots and lack of emotional connections between characters. STILL. And what the hell was up with that lame-ass send-off for the Eleventh Doctor? It was so convoluted, and it was stupid that he just aged to death. And why didn’t the Doctor think of asking Gallifrey for extra lives, the big dummy? He was supposed to be on Trenzalore for 300 years, yet the thought never crossed his mind? Gimme a break. Also, The Originals isn’t exactly earth-shattering. I don’t understand people who think it’s better than TVD. It’s not. Stop fangirling Klaus! He’s a pathetic, whiny wanker.
6. Which TV show do you think you might let go of in 2014 unless things significantly improve? As I said last year, I won't necessarily let go of the following, but I think they'll be cancelled: Elementary and Bones because of the stupid-ass ratings system the television producers have created.
7. Which TV show impressed you the most in 2013? Why? Once Upon a Time really came through after an uneven second season. I’m really loving the current direction of the show. Castle also has been great. I’m glad Caskett got engaged!
8. Which TV shows do you think you'll never let go of no matter how crappy they get? Why? Bones, Castle, Once Upon A Time, The Vampire Diaries and Elementary. Because I love the characters and the actors so much, I can overlook the occasional mediocrity or convoluted plots.
