London Calling

Dear Wonderful LJ Friends,

I have no excuse for my lack of updates, except for a considerable feeling of lethargy that has pervaded my life lately. And yes, I realize tiredness is a lame excuse. So bear with me as I try to bring you up to date on my life in one short post. Haha.

First and foremost, my holiday to London starts this Tuesday evening!!! *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees* I really wish I could skip the next day and a half of work and just get to my plane trip at 6:25 pm Tuesday. Despite the scary uprisings last week in London, I'm actually very excited for this trip. The riots really haven't deterred any of our sightseeing plans other than we're no longer going to The Who Shop in Upton Park, as it's only a few miles from Hackney where some of the rioting occurred. I just don't feel confident enough to wander around an area of London I've never been before with potentially violent people nearby. So we'll be visiting The Forbidden Planet instead, which is nearer London Proper.

We've got the first part of the vacation already planned: Wednesday we'll arrive and walk around Piccadilly Circus, and view some of the museums in Trafalgar Square. Thursday we go all out tourist and go on a bus tour to some of the more famous spots in London. It includes places that my sister and I didn't get to see on our first visit over there and also some repeats, but I don't mind seeing Westminster Abbey or St. Paul's again. They're such gorgeous buildings. <3 Friday my sister and I are going to the Doctor Who Experience. My mom decided she doesn't love the show enough to go to an exhibit on it, so we'll be finding her something to do in the Kensington district whilst we go ogle the Doctor Who displays. <3 <3

And then Saturday, I'll be breathing the same air as David Tennant and Catherine Tate!!! *FANGIRLS* Yes, we're going to see Much Ado About Nothing. Despite not being a major Doctor Who fangirl, even my mom is looking forward to that. She can't say no to Shakespeare. Besides, she has admitted to thinking David is attractive. LOL I was hoping to catch Arthur Darvill at the Globe, but it's his week off when we're there. :( I guess I can't have everything.

Anyways, I'll try to keep you up to date on our trip. I promise lots of pictures! :D
