Information you might like to know. I Have recently read different Plutarch versions from different sources. There is information in some texts that are not available in others. In some the same events are reported differently. i believe that could be from the translations document or they may be adding information from other fragmented sources. For instance one version speak of some of the tender moments shared by Alexander and Hephaistion... this is one of my favorites...Alexander would read his correspondance and letters with Hephaistion reading over his shoulder as was their custom. when finished Alexander would take off his signet ring and press it to Hephaistion's lips...But another version of the same text there is no mention.(Could this be the famous Church Suppression of the true story)
So some information you are looking for in character development may be in different versions of the same text. Different versions of the same text may give you conflicting information (As my research did with Cassander)but I have tried to create a composite character based on the research and what I see their motivations are. This could really be a lot of fun and I am available to anyone who wants help in developing their back story. This is Alexanders and Hephaistions baby but I am excited to help any of you any way I can. OUT OF CHARACTER THAT IS !!!!
