I am truly John Stossel's apostle.

You have no idea how much I want a 'stache like his.

Makest thou sacrifices unto the gods of the libertarian and chant "lower taxes stimulate the economy" 300 times and thou shalt havest a Stossel-stache of thine own.

Don't forget to throw in some antifederalism and red-baiting. That mustache came from the 80's and will wither unless you carefully maintain the illusion that it still lives there.

Dear John Stossel,

Once in awhile you hit upon an idea that is truly interesting and your always dogged pursuit produces first-class journalism. This is not one of those times.

We already have "socialized" medicine. It's called Medicare and Medicaid and you, me and everyone else already pays for it through a federal payroll tax. And I honestly don't know anyone who is on Medicare who would trade it for your hackneyed free market HMO-laden system of BS. (I defer the discussion of Medicaid for another time because it not the same sort of system and the eligibility paperwork and process takes a PhD to understand.)

Sincerely,
K_Sui

Ironically, Newsweek seems to have addressed this exact same subject today.
