I don't consider the "War on Terror" bumper sticker used by politicians to have any relation to the actual military actions being prosecuted in the Middle East.
That's your prerogative. I do relate the two. They are one in the same.

It doesn't apply at all to Iraq, since that's a "War for Oil" or "War Against Islam" and the only real terrorism that exists there was generated as a response to us.

Yes, it's a war for oil! Look at how much oil we've stolen! That's why gas is so cheap lately! Hmmm...

Oh, and look at us having a War on Islam! We removed that horrible Islamic dictator in Iraq...wait what? Saddam was secular? Hmm...

A free Iraq is necessary to show oppressed Muslims that democracy can work for them and to have an ally in that region in the continuing actions in the terrorists war on us (not that they'd join us, but having an ally in that region is a huge military plus).

"Terror" is not meaningless. Actions of terrorism are pretty easily defined have been for a while. Name for me a catastrophic event that you think has been mislabeled as terrorism please.
