searching for a home
The BSG finale is Friday and I would be remiss if I didn't post my predictions.
- Galactica will head to the colony and be destroyed in Hera's rescue attempt.
- At the very least, Adama and Roslin will die.
- Boomer will help save Hera and die.
- Kara's apparent resurrection and missing 2 months will be explained.
- Kara's either the daughter of one Daniel that survived, the creation (like the F5 created the S7) of one Daniel that survived, or she *IS* a Daniel that survived and reconfigured his DNA to hid from Cavil and included a sex change.
- Baltar will do something...Baltarish. I have no idea what that's going to be.
- We will not find out much if anything else about the Head Characters. They've already been explained as angels. That's all we get.
As much as I hate unanswered questions, I've kind of come to terms with the idea that they simply won't be able to answer everything, and I think that's okay. Some of the show's best moments are character driven, not info dumps. Many complained a few weeks ago about the episode in which we found out where Ellen was all those months after resurrecting on Cavil's ship and Sam was meanwhile explaining to the others about Earth and resurrection tech and everything as being way too much of an info dump. With everything they have unanswered, I'd much prefer a heart-pounding, tear-jerking, blow-your mind awesome episode to finish off the series, than have a massive info dump that ends up being somewhat boring. If they can pull off both, good for them, but if I had to choose, I'd be okay with some unanswered questions.
