YES! It's TRUE!

I am in complete agreement with the recent statements made by Patrick Moore, the founder of Greenpeace on the following:

1) There is no proof that global warming is caused by humans.
2) We should move to nuclear power because there's not enough potential in renewables.

More detail:

1) Yes, I know that's not the WHOLE statement. The rest is that "it's likely enough that we should act as if it was." That I don't completely agree with, but I can buy some of it. I don't think we should do all the proposed things that will throw our economy even in the toilet IN CASE we really are causing global warming. However, I'm not totally against the insurance policy analogy. A key thing about an insurance policy is that it doesn't completely bankrupt you. Shutting down industries (or imposing such harsh regulations that they are effectively shut down) is not an insurance policy. Financially encouraging nuclear power, on the other hand, won't kill us or our economy.

2) Wind, solar, and hydro are not viable to provide all our needs. Not in the short term anyway. Nuclear Power has been given such a bad name and is usually not associated with "green" causes, but here are 10 Green Arguments for nuclear power.

So yeah. Who'd have thunk I'd agree with the founder of Greenpeace? :o)

green, global warming, nuclear power
