Reflections
Looking back over old entries I came across this one from 2004:

What changed? I got a job in Medical Certificates and life as I knew it changed. The funny thing is that in the 6 months it has taken me to make another entry (can it possibly have been 6 months?!) my life has changed yet again. I guess that is how life goes. I am now sitting here waiting for my interview for a new position in the company. If I thought Medcerts was a promotion, this one really is. I would be an Executive -- woohoo!! -- working on Federal Regulatory Affairs. Pretty exciting I must say. The funny thing is that I am completely happy with where I am, but I have decided that I am going to truly be a career woman. Having decided this, I am hell-bent on leaping my way up the corporate ladder.
I never thought that I would say that... that I want to climb up the corporate ladder. I always viewed myself as very non-conformist and therefore non-corporate in terms of employment pursuits. I guess I have lucked out though in landing my job at PGE. This company has such a nice work environment that I just feel like I am part of an office rather than a large corporation. Yeah!
Didn't get that job but it's interesting to see how I set my intention and have fulfilled my goal. In 2003 I wasn't nearly so committed to working at PGE long-term.
