I soared today, finally!
Today was the first day this year that the thermals were popping and I was able to come to the glider field. Usually that day happens in April, not August. But I'll take it whenever I can.
I flew one of my favorite single-place gliders and it performed very well. I finally came down after an hour and 35 minutes because I was tired, not from running out of lift. In fact, it was tough to get down to land with all the lift in the vicinity of the airport!
